Amazing companion App for macOS Sierra and Starbucks

I just found exactly what I was looking for:

Near Lock

macApp, iOSApp, watchApp

What this does, is quite a bit, I am pretty sure it uses beacon technology too.

Forget macID.app!

Basically, the main feature I was looking for is if I walk away from my MacBook at Starbucks, I wanted the screen to lock and sleep to kick in.

It simply works! Flawlessly.

Kicker is, if you have Watch with or without the iPhone you have multiple ways to unlock and lock your mac.

I haven't found a way to enable walking away with JUST your Watch to "AUTO-LOCK" the mac, but I have found from my experience is you just don't want this feature anyway. I mean yeah to have an option to turn on and off would be great but...

Here is the basic setup:

If you are at Starbucks and you have your iPhone in your pocket with watch on, when you walk away with your iPhone it auto-locks

If you walk back it auto-unlocks either using (if you enabled watch unlock) Watch or iPhone, and auto-wakes "QUICK!".

But if you are at home and you don't want to lock your mac all the time you just leave your iPhone next to your mac like you normally do anyways (off and closed), because you have your Watch, and it stays running.

The Watch app can be used remotely to lock or even wake and unlock from a WiFi distance...

Pretty sick, trust me...

Oh and if you have your iPhone in the bedroom out of assigned range, then this app won't auto-unlock the mac but the Watch feature from macOS Sierra will do the unlock...

It's perfect...

One flaw:

But easy to fix, you need to goto System Preferences -> Notifications -> Do Not Disturb
Check Turn on Do Not Disturb while Display is Sleeping. Otherwise, with macOS Sierra, it will wake up on Notifications and log in...
