I tried a bit torrent download with lots of seeders while connecting my macbook pro to the iPhone 3GS via USB. The internet access is solely through the iPhone running on Pelephone's network. There is no extra charge for tethering in Israel, you are only limited to your max data plan (I have 2gb a month for around 16$)
The results are amazing:
I read some international tests claiming that Pelephone's network is one of the fastest in the world, but this really proves it beyond a doubt for me. Ofcourse, it isn't always that fast but that's more due to the way bit torrent works.
