Amazon availability?

I haven't kept track of this in the past, but can anyone verify how long new models are available on Amazon? I'm in CA and would prefer a tax free option, an a Prime member so free 2 day shipping, etc :)
 
i was gonna post a simular question. i really hope they have the 256 hd with 8gb of ram. i wonder how much will that be anyway.

edit: +$100 for 8gb of ram, +$300 for double hd space is kinda pricey considering you can get 256 for about $200.

I have the same question regarding Best Buy, I wonder when they will get the new Airs.
 
Looks like they already changed the old models to say "OLD VERSION"

Good sign that they're at least aware of the new models. Hopefully they come soon because I also want to buy mine from them.
 
Would love to buy from amazon. In the past have they offered anything beyond the standard configurations? that 8gb RAM upgrade seems like a no brainer.
 
for what it's worth the last gen air went on sale jul 20 2011 on amazon, that was the same day apple released it.
 
Did Apple drop the price on the 11" MBA (128 GB)? It seems like the new MBA 11" with 128 GB is less expensive than the old 11" 128 GB Amazon is selling. Can anyone confirm this?

You are correct. I believe the difference is 4 gb ram is standard now, so you're only paying an extra $100 for the 128 gb disk.

I think I may opt to go with 8 gb though which probably means buying from Apple... decisions.
 
I've collected some amazon gift cards in hopes to spend on new Air 11 (for portability reasons). I waited for WWDC to see if they bump RAM to more than 4Gb and that has happened.... But if Amazon only carries base configurations then 8GB is not going to be accessible to me... shoot.

I'll probably have to look into MBP 13' old vs new. I'll be able to upgrade myself RAM on those.

I sent amazon an email about 8gb options so we'll see. I have some gift cards too i want use. I remember back in 2010 b&h photo had the ultimate eddition so maybe amazon will carry different configurations.
