So, Amazon Prime membership gets you unlimited photo storage now, over the 5GB limit most every customer gets.
Amazon has a list of RAW files that count as photos, so DON'T count against storage limits.(http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...e=UTF8&nodeId=201649930&qid=1423076073&sr=1-1
Lots of cameras not on the list. For giggles and kicks I uploaded a .orf, which is an Olympus RAW, not on their list (although note the "not definitive" language). The .orf would not display, or show a preview, but it also didn't show up as counting against my storage total (I only have Amazon music and some cr2 and tiff files there, so I have 0 out of 5GB showing, so I don't think it's a rounding thing but I could be wrong).
There are all kinds of things I don't like about this Amazon Cloud (terms, no client uploader, etc), but hey, free (I do like AWS S3 storage though). But anyone have any experience with storing non listed RAWs there? Or know about future plans for other RAW formats? etc?
thanks
