Amazon.com MBP rebate ends Monday 2/18 = New MBP 2/19 ?

I wonder if this means they think/know that EOL for this iteration is 2/18, and that new stock will be in stock on 2/19. Hmmm....

I'm not sure that's the silver lining we're looking for. They had a similar rebate expire on 24 January, leading some to speculate that the update would be announced on the 25th. We all know how that went.

I remember reading a similar thread like this a while back. I guess when it comes to rebates on Amazon they are given a certain time span on how long they're valid for. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to update the product itself. It probably has to deal with negotiations that Amazon has with certain companies.

Mac Pro rebate ends on the 18th as well - perhaps new Pros on the 19th

The rebate times mean nothing on Amazon - they come and go and even overlap from time to time.
