Still overpriced. I see a lot of celebrities and professional athletes wearing these on TV but I rarely see them in the wild.

I got a set of Air Pods Pro 2 for about $150 around Black Friday and I thought those were a steal. For $150 they’re pretty awesome.

Go to high end gyms and work places, you will see them. I still prefer the Air pods pro 2 as well.

i love mine but they have a very specific use case. They are my focus headphones for work, and live at my desk.

They don’t travel as well as my Sony Xm3 and they don’t work for me on planes because the seal breaks when i lean back and I lose the noise cancellation. This is too bad because otherwise they are better in every way. The travel case sucks though.

I do wish they had fixed a few things when updating to usb c because I find them to be excellent otherwise.

Yeh I've seen one or two wearing them on the train to work, otherwise, it's all about AirPods.

I see AirPods Max everywhere, especially in the city. Everything is expensive, it all comes down to if it's worth it for you. 425 is an ok price if you really want that usb-c port. I personally think the lighting version is better because you can us a converter to 3.5 audio jack.

Most good quality headphones will be in the 350+ range, add Apple tax and these aren't that bad. If you want a cheaper version go with the Beats to keep Apple integration and your good.

What I really want is version 2.0 with better noise cancellation, better battery and see if they can improve the sound if thats possible, oh and lossless. Transparency mode is unmatched by the completion and they are 4 years old, noise cancelling while still very good but it does show its age using 4 year old technology.

Really? I very rarely see them; about the only time I do is when I travel, and even then, they are easily outnumbered by Bose and such. I don't use public transport, so maybe that's why?

They are uncomfortable.

There are USB-c to 3.5 audio jack adapters just the same as for Lightning. Also, this is superior in that USB-c-to-USB-c cables are almost ubiquitous and can be used as an audio cable with these AirPods and any USB-c iPhone.

And that’s Apple biggest shortcomings these last decennia. They neglect their products for too long. I’m sure they’re aware of the shortcomings you’ve been experiencing.

How hard good it be after 4 years to not only come out with a forced to usb c update but to fix those shortcomings as well?

Gime? What’s a Gime?

Ohhhh, a GIME…

Probably explains it. There’s absolutely nothing “high end” about me and I’m never in the gym so…

Those AirPod max always remind me of those old helicopter headsets I see in movies.

Next time I see someone wearing one I’ll ask when my next flight takes off 😂

Go to nyc. You’ll see everyone wearing them.

I love my APM. I bought the USB C version in December, but when I discovered that Apple removed the wired option, I exchanged them for the lightening version. It still baffles me that Apple removed this feature.

What - reduced the price! Do you think I cannot afford the old price? I have never been insulted so much. I will never visit this store again to be insulted like this. You should see me buy my car and learn to not insult me.

Anyone buying this is supporting this ******** update. Apple should not be encouraged.
I don't think there is an issue of supporting this as an update. The EU forced putting in USB-C, so Apple complied with the law. That is why it doesn't have an update number, imo.

Might be an all time low but the price is still very high. But for those who are specifically looking out to buy this one, this should be a good price as I don't see any more discounts being offered. Maybe at around $300 I would consider it. Besides I am very happy with my AirPods.

While those are great adapters (and one of apple’s lesser known star products btw, both cheap and the best bang for your buck USB DAC around. Hell, they are better than a lot of DACs literally up to 10x-20x their price), they solve literally opposite problem of the issue with the USBC APMs… not a help with this problem at all

I own and love the lightning APM but the price gets more ridiculous every year, even factoring in inflation. $350 should be the max price. Drop it to $300 occasionally and they’d move so much faster and make Apple more $, I’d speculate.
