Amazon today has the USB-C AirPods Max on sale for $479.99 in every color, down from $549.00. This beats the price we tracked last week by about $20, and it's an overall second-best price on the headphones.

Colors available on sale include Blue, Midnight, Orange, Starlight, and Purple. All colors are still available to be delivered in April, with most providing a delivery estimate around April 19 for free shipping options. Prime members in certain cities should be able to see same-day delivery options.

It's also worth noting that Amazon has the AirPods Pro 2 on sale for $189.99, down from $249.00. This is another second-best price, but it's been a few weeks since we've seen the AirPods Pro 2 down to their all-time low price, and this is a solid discount for anyone looking to purchase the accessory this week.

I can understand why this is discounted but I can't understand why the discount is not much more.

Apple should refresh their displays and headphones more frequently. Last year, I purchased a third-party 4K high refresh rate display from Samsung for my Mac because I didn't want to pay 3x more for older technology from Apple. After trying the AirPods Pro 2, for the price and features it is hard to go back to the AirPods Max in 2025.

is there a way to see what the lowest price was?
For Amazon?

They won't show what the lowest price is if the sale involves clipping a coupon first that gets applied at check out.

Still no off button? Still have that ridiculous bra to put them to “sleep”? Hard pass.
I ended up getting a full cover/case from Amazon, it has the magnets in the right spot to sleep them with way more protection than the dumb bra case.

For Flying, I find them more comfortable than my Airpods Pro 2, esp flipping between Transparency modes, nothing beats the connectivity. (Personal Phone/Macbook, and work iPhone and another icloud account logged in ipad), so seamless

Which case did you get?

not good enough. basically 4+ year old product
To be fair, they don't really need the features of the AirPods Pro 2. The only thing it's really lacking in comparison is Conversation Awareness, but then again it supports Lossless Audio now, so that's a leg up on the AirPods Pro.

So what if it's 4 years old? It has all the features I want. They sound great. Just because a product hasn't been introduced in the last 15 minutes doesn't negate it's features and quality.

Dumb case? Please. There is nothing "dumb" about it. I don't take the Max out of the house. It takes me all of about 2 seconds to put the Max in the case. It's absolutely fine for me.
