I want to buy an external DVD-drive for my MBA but since I will only use it from time to time, I don't want to fork out that much money for a genuine Apple drive.
So I started looking for alternatives and found this :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasic...qid=1382007852&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon+usb+dvd
According to user reviews, it works on Mountain Lion no problem. My question however is whether it will work when I plug it into my USB2 hub instead of directly into the MBA. I've heard that Apple's own drive only works when you plug it into the USB-port on the right hand side of the MBA.
Can anyone confirm this ?
