The Amazon Halo watch appears to be a very dystopian device. It tracks your fitness, which sounds ok, but it also supposedly can track your mood? It also recommends you take pictures with as little clothing on as possible so it can track your body fat. I guess Jeff Bezos wants pics of everybody stripped down? Why?
And we know Amazon is NOT known for protecting privacy. They want as much info on you as possible so they can predict exactly what you might need or want and try to sell it to you.
Thank goodness the Apple watch is a superior product and they have a commitment to user privacy. I think people should avoid the Halo watch if they value their privacy at all. Kara Swisher has a write-up that says it better than I can:
