As we get closer to the holidays, iTunes gift card discounts are beginning to get more frequent, and today the latest sale comes from Amazon. The online retailer has marked down the $50 App Store and iTunes gift card by 15 percent in its U.S. store, so you can get the $50 credit added to your account for just $42.50 while supplies last. The gift cards are physical versions and are limited to 1 per order.

No other price tiers for the gift card are on sale as of now, so the $25, $100, and $200 options are all priced as expected. Like with any App Store and iTunes gift card, you can spend the money on an Apple Music subscription, app downloads or in-app purchases, iBooks, iTunes movies and tv shows, and more.

If you're looking for any more sales going on this week, make sure to check out our Deals Roundup.

Nice. Although I have seen $40 quite a few times over the last few years.
And LOL @ Amazon.ca where the C$25 card can be purchased for C$28.99

If it was a Apple GIFT card (non-itune) then that’s a different story.

Looks like if you use an Amazon or Amazon/Chase card you still get the 5% cashback.

Get the electronic version of the $50.00 gift card, enter the promo code "iTunes" at checkout for a $7.50 discount. This also avoids the $2.79 shipping and handling fee Amazon charge for the physical card. Takes about 5 minutes for the e-version of the card to appear in your email. I have already done this and my iTunes balance is now $50 richer.

Nice that you were able to get the electronic version with the same discount. However, the physical card is shipped and sold by Amazon, so anything over $25 ships for free. Perhaps when you were at the shipping page, you forgot to switch it from standard shipping to the free shipping.

A couple of points...

1) Non-US hardly ever see these deals.

2) Not that I bother with them, as really a one-time minuscule saving (one card per person = bugger all off!) isn't worth the bother.

Buy 5+ at a time, then you may be talking. But an occasional single card here and there is pretty meaningless to most people's time.

Sour grapes. It literally took me less than 30 seconds. One click on the link. One click on ‘buy with 1 click.’ Less time then you spent telling us how important your time was. $7.50 in my pocket. Cha Ching. I AM sorry it’s not available to the rest of the UK. I guess we aren’t quite at a global economy yet. Speaking of which how goes Brexit?

P.s. thanks MR for posting this bargain.

Sour grapes? Erm right, I don't think so.

These do appear in the UK just not as often as the US.... and I still NEVER BOTHER for the reasons I stated; waste of flipping time for a massive total of £5 single amount off. The kind of amount school kids are bothered about, not adults.

...I'd rather spend my time, you know, on constructive things, like eating food, doing work, or even leaving messages on MR! :p

Thanks!

This gives us 15% off of iCloud storage and Apple Music.

Amen to that. I usually hold off until I see 20% off deals, but I figured why the heck not. It helps with my Apple Music, Netflix, iCloud and Starz subscriptions I have via iTunes.

Grins. Got my card. I guess this adult is just better at multitasking, I can do all of the above AND make 7.50 in 30 seconds without hating.

You miss my point.

These 'discounts' are very small as to make them virtually meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

If you're paying for iTunes Match, Apple Music, iCloud Drive, music/video/books etc. from Apple over a year, spending let's say 5-600, then a 5 'discount' by buying a physical card, having it shipped to you, and then entering the code, amounts to a ~1% saving.

I think most people would question these discounts being much more than pocket change over such timescale, given the amount one is spending on Apple's services over the year.

It's a free country, so go ahead if you think it's worth it to you.

$5-$600 a year?! What?? We spend $240, and if we can pay for that with discounted cards (physical and not physical), the savings is savings weather it is big or small. I check Raise often and will pluck good deals off of there too. Your math assumes you only get a deal on one card for the duration of the year, I have purchased several at decent discounts, usually nothing more than 10%.
