The Kensington iPad 2 Keyfolio is 50% off today as part of an Amazon Gold Deal.

The problem is, not sure it fits the new iPad.

Kensington has a model that does fit the new iPad. While many are saying that most iPad cases are interchangeable, I don't want to trust buying one of these a week prior to release and it not fitting.

The model # on Amazon is K39357US (the new iPad model is K39336US)

Any thoughts?

If truly interested then buy it and see if it fits. They have such a great return policy that I wouldn't hesitate to buy and return if need be.

Thanks for posting that great deal. I had to jump on that for $40. I'm 99.72646% sure it will fit. It's probably discontinued b/c the packaging says "iPad 2" and the new model will say something like "For iPad 2 and iPad (3rd gen). But it will otherwise be the same case.

If for some odd reason it doesn't fit Amazon has a great return policy so worst case I'm out $5 for return shipping.

Just occurred to me: the new model might have a "dictation" key like the new iPad 3 virtual keyboard.

I just ordered it. I think 99.9999999999% sure it will fit too b/c it's not a perfect form factor case. It's a "sleeve" type case where your ipad slides into. that difference is almost like having a zagg invisible shield on the back of the iPad. So thanks for posting! Great price!

The big difference will be having a BT 4.0 keyboard that greatly reduces battery draw for both the keyboard and iPad...
