These definitely don't move all that quickly and pile up. My iPad Pro M4 has an April 2024 manufacturing date and an April 2025 first-use date

My wife's new Air only has a 1 month gap between manufacture date and first use.

They’re just too f’n expensive now. Why would you buy a iPP over a 14” MBP now? They need to get back to the 1k price range OR they need to run macOS in addition to justify their cost.

Yep! They need to bring back the "Boot Camp" moniker as an iPad Pro exclusive. They're expensive enough to justify giving them "yes, as an iPad Pro owner, you can install macOS on this iPad as an option -- hope you brought the keyboard/trackpad."

Would better differentiate them from the iPad Air where macOS would not be allowed.

i agree, they are too expensive. i can only justify it as i use it for work.
