I purchased some power beat pros and returned them the next day. They are the worst sounding earbuds I've even tried. Can't believe they sell these. When the apple guy asked why i was returning them I told them they sounded really bad. He said they where not made to sound good...

I purchased these the day there were available and upon receiving them in the mail realized they were hot garbage and returned them immediately. Terrible sound quality, lack of bass, incredibly uncomfortable in your ear and literally offered no improvement over the original model which I loved for many years. I still use them on occasion but since purchasing the Soundcore Aerofit 2 they have seen much less use. Of course the very next comment after mine will be "You're crazy, I love mine and they are WAY better than the originals". So to each their own.

Too bad they've gotten such bad reviews from audio and sound quality (possibly fixed by firmware updates) to fit and comfort, or would have jumped on this.

Agree. Same for me. I returned them after 1 day. They hurt my ears more than anything. I have the beats fit pro and prefer them 100% over the Powerbeats.

I bought these for my wife and she hated them. So I returned it. Then she asked to try my Sony W1000XM4 headphones, and she fell in love with them. I ended up getting her a Sony. Trust me when I say this. My wife is a trained music classicist. She got an ear for music when it comes to sound quality. I'm born half deaf and knew that these Beats headphones were overrated. Always been a fan of Sony headphones since the 90s.

Of course right after I buy them from another retailer they go on sale.

They're fine. I use them for running and the connectivity is a lot better than my old powerbeats pro. I'm hoping they fix an issue that appears in many of my runs where the sound goes to half speed and I have to pause/start a podcast again.

I don't get the bad reviews, I had the PBP 1 for years and even bought a second pair as I wore the battery down, and they were great. Picked up the PBP 2 on day one, and I love them. I have no issues with wearing them all day long, they are definitely more comfortable than the first generation thanks to the smaller ear hook and I find the bass very good once you get the right size tip, better bass than the first generation for me and I do like ear buds with bass.

I even find the audio, especially voices to be a bit clearer. So far I've had zero issues with the charging, which was a massive pain with the old ones. No longer do I have one bud charged, and the other dead or partially charged, all because it wasn't placed with perfect accuracy onto the charging contacts. The magnets are a hell of a lot stronger on the PBP 2, and they just pull the ear buds into places flawlessly every time.

It's been nice finally having buds with noise cancellation at last as well. My main use for these are primary ear buds for my gaming PC, so games and movies and music, and just like the PBP 1, they work perfectly.

I own them and I can confirm they don't have great sound quality. Only reason why I kept them is that they stay on my ears when I'm running or at the gym and my older ones stopped working.

I ordered a pair. I saw someone on YouTube saying they had terrible sound quality initially, but then they changed the silicone ear tips to ones that actually fit their ears and sealed properly, and then they sounded amazing. So who knows?

My understanding is that if you use them while wearing an Apple Watch, the earbuds' heartbeat sensor is off in deference to the Watch's heartbeat sensor. But is it truly off, or does the sensor cause a parasitic draw on the battery? I love how long my old, original Power Beats Pro still last.

Astonishing that a second gen device ended up worse than the original. I was so looking forward to buying these after years of solid use with my PBP. One try at the Apple Store and it was the fastest NO I could have arrived at. The smaller hook is designed for well, smaller people -- immediate discomfort. Sound quality was nothing to be excited about. That same day I ordered a replacement for my PBP right earbud on eBay and happy with the decision. Poor product management written all over this.

Do these actually charge, unlike the PBP1?

I refuse to believe the audio is *that* bad.
I've had these since the day they were released. To date, I've not had a single charging, or start-up issue with them. I did have to change the ear tips to a size larger than I expected, and I have no qualms at all about the sound quality.

These are better than the PBP1's in every way.

Another thing I've noticed is the battery on both buds on the PBP 2 drain at close to the same level finally, whereas two of the PBP 1s that I had that were a few years apart, one bud was always at 8% to 10% when one died. Looking at my battery health now, one bud has 53% the other 54%, and occasionally they will be at the same level, so much better.

Such a disappointment for me... The Powerbeats Pro "1" were great for me but I switched to the Beats Fit Pro when they came out because they also fit well, were smaller, and had active noise cancelation. When the Powerbeats Pro 2 were announced they looked smaller and better than the first generation and I wanted to get a hook based earbud again for strictly sports use... 1) they fit poorly with a terrible ear seal no matter the size I used (they stay on fine, but the ear seal is bad) 2) the ANR is very poor compared to Beats Fit Pro and embarrassingly awful compared to AirPods Pro 2, made even worse when the ear seal gets loose 3) the HR sensing was very inaccurate and didn't work well Apple devices (Android work fine... like huh?!?) and 4) the sound was worse than the first generation and Beats Fit Pro by a significant margin. I returned them after 3 days. The smaller case was nice, they looked nice, and the colors were cool... but man what a bad update after waiting so long!

It's truly off. If you doubt it you can actually disable it no matter if you are wearing the watch or not.

I did the exact same thing. Everybody on the other end of the phone couldn’t hear me. I immediately purchased another pair of AirPods Pro 2. I don’t care that another generation may launch this year.

Is the issue with simultaneous music playback and heart rate streaming to gym equipment fixed (or can it be fixed by a firmware)?
