Amazon Prime Day doesn't officially kick off until tomorrow, July 12, but that hasn't stopped early deals from appearing today. For starters, we're tracking a new all-time low price on the Apple Watch Series 7.

You can get the 41mm GPS Apple Watch Series 7 in all colors for $279.00, down from $399.00. At $120 off this is a new all-time low price, and now the lowest entry-level deal price we've ever seen on the Series 7.

If you're looking for the bigger model, there's another record low price on the 45mm GPS Apple Watch Series 7, available for $314.00 in two colors, down from $429.00.

Remember that you'll need an Amazon Prime membership to get Prime Day deals. You can sign up for Prime if you don't have it yet on Amazon.

I briefly considered this, but as nice as the green model is, just not for me. If it had been the red model...

Agreed. I actually have the green Series 7 and I regret it. Bought it on a whim because it was the only one available for immediate shipment at the time. Love the watch but hate the colour - wish I'd waited and got the silver one!

I do plan to try some different straps, though. I think it's mostly the strap (green sports band) I don't like, the watch body itself is ok.

I should really try some different straps, though. I think it's mostly the strap I don't like, the watch body itself is ok.
well could put on acaseor different strap

Get it now, because S8 “regular” will increase the price, have the same CPU and just add a skin temperature sensor.

There isn't a silver one, it is Starlight (which to my eye has a yellow/beige/light gold tint). I think people can see even that more clear now with the MBA M2 comparing Starlight to Silver. It is one reason I didn't upgrade to a S7 as all of my bands looked bad with it.

I wish stainless steel would get these discounts.

I’ve bought five second hand watches on ebay. The stainless, titanium, and ceramic models are all flawless and seem brand new with the exception of the batteries (usually)

I could never spend big bucks on an aluminum model, and with my experience in buying them used at gigantic discounts I don’t think I’ll ever buy a sapphire screen new at any price.

There is such a huge discrepancy in price between new and used Apple watches and they do not hold financial value AT ALL compared to other Apple devices.

That plus band hunting makes collecting these things irresistible for a deal hunter like me. But yeah… a brand new, retail aluminum watch at 285 plus tax? no way, no how.

The Digital Crown on my S4 SS died recently. If reports are true about S8 having the same CPU and only a minor refresh (new sensors added), then I will go without a new watch for yet another year. Might as well not wear one at all considering I have my phone with me at all times and there is no dedicated function I solely rely on the watch for.

Interesting take on the AW. All we've ever owned in my immediate family are the aluminum watches. We buy them new, use them for 2-3 years and resell them on eBay after receiving an updated model. Two of us are still using AW4's, but one of them is starting to have battery life issues (not lasting a full day). I bought them but at a discount as new but "last years" models when the AW5 was out, they are nearly 3 years old. I was planning to see what the AW8 has to offer and then likely replace them with AW7's as I did 3 years ago.

I may take a peek at aluminum and ceramic models on eBay, thanks for the tip.

Oh man, I replace my trusty old AW3 a little too soon. My plan was to upgrade this fall after I had a chance to see what the AW8 brought to market, but I found out the AW3 was no longer water resistant on July 4 when I hopped in the pool. I picked up a silver SE on Friday, but would have likely sprung for the green AW7 at this price. A decent brown leather or nylon band would look great with that case in my opinion.

Oh well, I'm satisfied with my purchase. The AW3 did what I needed and the SE does it faster with a few more bells and whistles. If something truly compelling comes out this year or next, my SE will get passed down to one of my kids when I find a deal I like.

I hope you find something good!

For example.. you could get a stainless series 6 for about 250. Retail price brand new just one year ago? 750! Even if the battery is totally shot, you can get that replaced for just 80 bucks.

An aluminum series 7 brand new at 285 seems ridiculous to me in comparison. Sure, it’s a year newer and has 1mm larger screen. But the durability of a used SS blows any aluminum model out of the water. Anything with a sapphire screen will last you soo much longer.

I mocked the article on Amazon's “all-time low price” on the 64GB 2021 10.2” iPad, as it was a only a $30 reduction, a pitiful amount. See the other article and thread.

This is much more deserving of such labelling — and even the headline shouting “record low” can be excused or even justified.

A 30% discount — and over $100 — is worth telling people about and using a bolded headline!

Even better, though, would be to save such extreme prose for 30% discounts on M2 MacBooks (Air and Pro). Then, you’d be talking real money!

OTOH, these “huge” savings typically apply to only one model, in one color, and often not advanced ones.

Such hype generally leads to eyes glazing over. I usually just skip any headline about Amazon's amazing “all-time low” prices.

I personally like the bigger screen on the 7, but I see what you're getting at. Just stay a year older and save 75%.
