While the Satechi docking station looks fairly nice, the price is still close enough to ThunderBolt dock territory (especially TB 3 and 4 docks) that I wonder how many people are better served doing a little 'future proofing,' especially given over time they may plug multiple things into it.

Quite a number of these docks offer multiple display connectivity via HDMI and DisplayPort ports; it'd be interesting to know what % of users stick with a single display vs. 2, or 3, or 4, etc... Just curious how the buying public uses them.
