Amazon is hosting another Prime Day event this year, called the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale and offering shoppers the first chance to save on holiday shopping from a major retailer. Similar to the first Prime Day, it will last for two days and you'll find a large selection of deals and offers across Amazon's storefront, covering savings on tech, clothing, video games, groceries, and much, much more.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Amazon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

For our coverage, we're focusing entirely on Apple and Apple-related discounts that can be purchased during this 48-hour event on Amazon. As of today, this includes deals on AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad, iPad Air, and MacBook Pro.

As is typical for Prime Day deals, these markdowns are very time sensitive, so sales listed below may disappear fast, and new ones may appear even faster. With this in mind, we'll keep this article updated throughout the event, and keep an eye on the MacRumors front page as we'll be posting particularly great deals in separate articles this week.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Amazon Prime Early Access requires you to have an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of the discounts. Amazon Prime offers a one month free trial, and otherwise costs $14.99 per month or $139.00 per year.

AirPods

Over the past few years, one of the most popular discounts around the holidays is on Apple's AirPods. Amazon is officially kicking off this trend in 2022 with solid markdowns on AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro 2.

Prices start at $89.99 for the AirPods 2 ($39 off), then increase to $223.24 for the AirPods Pro 2 ($25.86 off). [Update: The $223.24 AirPods Pro 2 price is an additional drop beyond the previous deal from earlier today.]

These are some of the lowest prices of the year, and in the case of the AirPods Pro 2 this is now the lowest price we've ever tracked. Every deal has been applied automatically so you won't need any coupon.

Apple TV 4K

During the summertime Prime Day, Amazon introduced a massive discount on the Apple TV 4K, and now this device is available for $109.99, down from $179.00. This model actually hit an all-time low price of $104.49 earlier today but remains an excellent price. The 64GB model is also available at $128.99 after hitting $123.49, but it remains a very substantial deal compared to the regular price of $199.00 for this model.

[Update: Prices have fluctuated multiple times today, but have remained excellent discounts compared to normal pricing.]

Apple Watch

Another item seeing big discounts during Prime Early Access is the Apple Watch, with the first-ever markdowns on the Apple Watch Series 8 arriving this week.

Starting with the 41mm GPS Apple Watch Series 8, this model is on sale for for $349.00, down from $399.00. It's available in (PRODUCT)RED, Midnight, and Silver aluminum color options, with the Midnight version having particularly low stock.

45mm GPS Series 8

Secondly, the 45mm GPS Apple Watch Series 8 is discounted to $379.00, down from $429.00. It's available in (PRODUCT)RED, Silver, and Starlight, and for this model the Silver is the one facing low stock as of writing.

iPad (2021)

Amazon today has the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad for $269.00, down from $329.00. This is a brand new all-time low price on the 10.2-inch iPad.

You guys in the US are lucky
1600 for a mbp 14 is a steal

Is Amazon running a similar Prime Early Access Sale in France? Through Apple, the retail price of a 14" MBP in France is actually lower than it is here in the U.S. Before VAT, it's 1,873 which is around $1,822 USD compared to $1,999 USD before sales tax in the U.S. If Amazon runs a similar sale in France, maybe it will also be lower than the Amazon price in the U.S.

The M1 MBA is still one of the best bang for the buck Macs ever especially at $799. I just wish there was a 16GB RAM version that wasn’t Build To Order.
Agreed. This past summer I picked up five M1 MBA's 16GB/512 SSD for $849 each refurbished on eBay (was $1449 CTO). Look and work like new. I replaced the laptop of every member of my family which ranged from 2014 to 2017 MBP's. The M1 MBA just doesn't get hot doing anything we do, while the 2017's would get hot with too many web pages open.

unfortunately i haven't seen any,for now

I pulled the trigger on the Apple TV 64gb (rang up at $123.49 btw).

I was going to crack a joke about a new version being released immediately upon my return window closing but just noticed I have until 1/31/23. Very generous. Makes this a no-brainer for me. The play room tv was limping by on a 2015 Apple TV.

Note: I have young kids that are fully content with Apple Arcade, so the 64gb is used. We have a SteelSeries Nimbus+, which I think some sort of full controller is a requisite for truly enjoying Arcade. Have any of the titles enthralled them the way Mario and Zelda did when I was their age? No, not even close. But honestly, I’m ok with that. They like it in 30 minute bursts by themselves and of course if I join in they’d play all night. Works perfect for us. Apple One Premier subscribers so it feels “free”. Oh and what a joy to no longer have to vet and portion out “regular” game purchases and micro transactions. I’ll never go back to that.

Got my 64 GB, 9th gen iPad for $300 last Nov. It took just under a year to get some nice discounts (which I wouldn't have expected on lower end Apple gear). Oh well. I did get to use it that much sooner (main thing was for a cruise), not to mention check out the free trial of Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade that much sooner as well. If you're interested in a new iPad now, I'd say wait if you can since the next gen is about due.

$400 for the 256 GB would've been nice too as AA ended up being the curveball (some of those games eat up 2 to 8 GB apiece. Not practically when you're already down to 42 GB of free space left :( OTOH, this has gotten me to use my iPad less and less, so I'm not wasting as much time as I'd originally feared. And it's gotten me to put off renewing AA as I've managed to find alternative games on iPad non-Apple Arcade, and Android.

Good deals here. Apple TV 4K, AirPods Pro 2, and M2 MacBook Air are appealing. The M1 air is also a great deal, but I need 512 storage.
