I've created profiles for my family - no problems. How does my daughter (who is away at Uni) log in on her Mac though and use her profile? I've searched everywhere and it seems to suggest I have to share my Amazon log in details with her - which I can't / won't do as I have payment details stored there and I don't want to compromise their security. Any clues?

You would need to set up a Prime Household account to enable sharing for Prime Video and some of the other benefits.

@Namara is correct regarding Prime Household, however I believe that one of the requirements is that the payment details will also be shared within accounts. Or at least it used to be that way In the UK.
This is to stop you adding just about anybody to your household. It is assumed that you will trust your family.

There are three categories of Household sharing (child, teen, adult). It appears for a child 18+, digital content can be shared without them being a Prime member. With their own account linked to family manager’s, I would think that might be how this could be accomplished without sharing the family manager’s payment info. The teen level is allowed to shop but purchases have to be approved by the family manager; child accounts can’t shop.

But I haven’t set up a Household so can’t speak to the real experience firsthand.
