Amazon rebates

Hey:
I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether Amazon has had back to back rebates on the macs. I was going to order a macpro because of the rebate, but my effing credit card company temporarily put my credit 'on hold' . So, I'm wondering what the chances are of there being another rebate after the 16th (my card will be off hold on the 17th!!!).

Amazon's discounts/rebates come pretty regularly, so even if there isn't one on the 16th itself, I'd still wait - surely it wouldn't be much longer before the rebate was back.

I wouldn't worry about it. Like xfiftyfour said, if there isn't one right away, there will most likely be one in the near future. I actually don't remember looking at an Apple computer on Amazon that didn't have a rebate.

That's good to know; thanks for getting back to me. Although if they don't have a rebate offer fairly soon, I s'pose I'll just buy a refurb from Apple. Being without a a proper work machine is not fun....

You were absolutely right! I just ordered my macpro from amazon with yet another rebate - and amazing shipping. It'll be here friday for $1.99!

As my money was clearing I was watching the Macpros go from 5 this morning to 1 left by around 4pm..then at around 6 the '1 left, order soon!" message changed to 'in stock'.. hopefully that means that a fresh 'batch' is shipping now (i.e. mine!).

Anyway, I'm actually really relieved. Running dreamweaver, fireworks, illustrator, flash, etc in addition to firefox, mail, ical etc all at once while running a 24" monitor on a macbook is pushing my luck. Those fans got a workout! ... at least it's a mac and can handle it...
