I totally agree. The Kindle Fire looks pretty lame, but people will definitely buy it at $199. Practically none of those people would have been iPad users though...

the low end crowd will buy this. it will be more like a toy rather than have real world use like the iPad.

It's not an iPad killer by design because it's not trying to be an iPad that just runs Android, but that is what gives it the biggest opportunity to be the killer unlike those that came before. All of the other proclaimed iPad killers were shaped up to be by the people who made them whereas Amazon is going for a different crowd altogether.
