Amazon this weekend is providing record low prices on multiple models of the iPad mini 7, starting at $399.00 for the 128GB Wi-Fi tablet, down from $499.00. Colors on sale at this price include Purple, Space Gray, and Starlight.

Compared to past sales, this is a match of the best price we've ever tracked on the tablet, and it's been a few weeks since we last saw it. You can also get the 256GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 7 for $499.00 and the 512GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 7 for $699.99, both $100 discounts and available in multiple colors.

Deals on cellular models are a bit rarer on Amazon, with one color of the 128GB cellular iPad mini 7 on sale for $549.00 and a few colors of the 256GB cellular iPad mini 7 on sale for $649.00, both $100 off.

Still (at least) $200 overpriced for a sub-10" tablet.
Not even the usual Apple Tax can justify that.
Nah. At $100 less than the iPad Air (aligned for Amazon discounts) it's an excellent price for its feature set. The Android market basically surrendered this segment of the market in favor of cheaply built, disposable small tablets. It's too bad.

Exactly. I used to have a 2015 galaxy tab A in the 8” size. It was a dang good tablet. But that’s what pushed me to Apple when it was time to upgrade. There just wasn’t any other quality small tablet out there.

My favorite was the Amazon fire hdx. That thing was a great consumption device.

I’m a little puzzled by that hand, holding the iPad mini. Could very well be real, but the index finger would be quite long, if I compare it to my own hands.
