Amazon today has knocked the price off of multiple M3 MacBook Air models, with as much as $300 off select computers. Prices start at $849.00 for the 13-inch M3 MacBook Air (16GB RAM/256GB), and also include multiple 15-inch models as well.

All of these deals have been applied automatically and do not require an on-page coupon in order to see the final sale prices. Apple introduced the M3 MacBook Air back in March, and last month it increased the starting RAM to 16GB, from 8GB.

$849 is a great price for the 16GB RAM M3 MBA, which is a great computer. This is the first time I regret pulling the trigger on my $699 base M1 MBA from Wal Mart.

(It still works excellently for me, though, so I know it’s just FOMO.)

Waiting for M4 air to drop at this price point.
...Or a REALLY good price on these M3s. 18% discount for the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB $1234 machine is pretty good (for those of us who don't need more ram, storage, and power) but I'd buy if it were more like 25% or more off.

Anyone know if this particular model is an all-time-low right now? Or...any model listed on this thread an all-time-low?

Just bought an m3 air with 16GB on the last deal posted. Kinda feel like I would have liked the 15 inch, but not the extra $$$ spent.

Really annoying to see these Amazon deals in the USA.

In the UK Amazon discounts no Apple products whatsoever.
Balderdash. Amazon has been offering 8%-9% off M4 MBPs for several days. As of yesterday the base model continues to be sold out and only a handful of other specs available. Hoping this sorts itself when midnight comes.

Anyone find it absolutely insane that the M3 MBA just came out in March 2024 and would normally cost $1,299 without the free RAM upgrade? $850 for this machine makes it pound for pound the best deal on a Mac right now.
I have the base M2 MBA, and it is the best computer I have ever owned. I paid $1,050 for it on sale about 2.5 years ago, and I thought it was a great deal then. I agree the M3 with 16GB for $850 is a terrific deal. Great for office work, university, and home use. It probably meets the needs of 90% of the consumers.

You will enjoy a minimum of 5 years of trouble free computing and probably trade-in for over $250. That's like $120 per year for a computer....$10 per month.....one visit to Starbuck for a venti drink and pastry. Can't beat it.

The 16/512 15" for $1234 is a nice price. If anyone here is looking for a pretty nice 15" laptop I'd give that build of the MBA a good solid look.

Genuinely couldn’t find them on their Black Friday promotions. Nothing. Nada.

However you’re dead right. 9% of the higher end books

Still frustrated Apple doesn’t offer units with 1TB+ SSD as standard configs through third party vendors. So weird they did this with the M3 when larger configurations were readily available for all previous models for years.

Agreed.
