I thought the Amazon app was on Apple TV like Sling, Netflix, etc is on my Amazon Fire, it's not. You have to download on IPad or IPhone, then use Airplay.....So I will stick with my Amazon Fire, no new Apple TV for me..

It's definitely available as an app on the Apple TV 2, 3, 4, and 4k. No Airplay is required.

2nd Gen Apple TV does not have an App Store. So no Amazon Prime Video.

7year old, circa 2010 device. Time to upgrade.
I bet your FireTV is a bit newer.

yea Fire TV a year old, I will get the new Apple TV 4k HDR when it comes out.. Apple says 5 weeks for delivery

It is out, but the 64GB model is currently shipping in 4-5 weeks in the US. I have a Feb 8 delivery date.

No need for 64gb unless you plan to install a lot of large games. Most modern video applications don’t consume much space since all the content is streamed.

I got a 32gb and do Netflix, Amazon, infuse, mrmc, and various content apps like DIY, HGTV, and etc. and still have plenty of space.
