Monday was the debut of Amazon Whole Foods? Difficult to tell unless your prone to shopping for things like the Ivanka Trump brand.

web site lay out was junk too; not as expected for me. just seemed like they were not selling something that could be considered up-grade extra delicious.

Not sure what Whole Foods you went to, but there were a number of items that were significantly less expensive when I was there yesterday. Eggs were cheaper than my local grocery store.

Drunk posting is a terrible thing.
So is drunk driving to Whole Foods.

There were some significant discounts I saw. Like up to 40% on a lot of organics. Wife is bugging me to look into it today.

Did the asparagus water come down in price? :p

The biggest change I saw was a display full of Echos and Echo Dots as I walked in the store!

Two price reductions that I noticed whilst I was getting my groceries were organic bananas have dropped $0.30/lb from $0.99 to $0.69 and strip and ribeye steaks are now $13.99/lb, down from $16.99/lb.

Our first order came in yesterday morning. Thick paper bag had the non-perishables. They provided a soft-sided cooler with a bunch of ice packs for the produce. Everything looked good except for the red onion; it was pretty old.

what effort would it have taken to for Amazon to just say "out of stock on the onion"

Interesting. I was under the impression they no longer used the soft-sided coolers since they sent out emails to fresh users a couple months back saying to keep them or return them but they were no longer going to use them.

Had an instance once where we ordered something and it was close to expiry date and they gave us another one with the older one. Odd that they didn't do that for you but I assume it probably matters who is pulling your items.

For certified organic? I’d go double check to be sure you’re comparing apples to apples.

What does certified organic even mean?

Why is organic food desirable ? I get farmers markets and local produce, and I'm willing to pay a premium for it, but why would I care about something that's "certified organic"?

I don't disagree. However, that's a different topic for a different thread.

Well kind of. I mean we're talking about the price of food. I'm just saying the eggs, organic or not, is overpriced.

I don't have anything against Whole Foods I just don't think it's really worth the money. Hopefully Amazon drives prices to the dirt.

Once Amazon figures out grocery delivery it will be huge. Timesaver for working/disabled people, restaurants, etc. They already revolutionized shopping.
