Going to give you good advice for those looking to get new iPads via these Amazon deals:

DO NOT BUY……..

New ones are coming soon in Spring most likely, and the iPads on sale are just too old at this point. New ones coming soon will be much better buy at this point.

If you are in the market for iPad Pro, we might be in for a sticker shock -- rumors peg 11-inch starting at $1499 for 13-inch starting at $1799. If double-layer OLED, landscape oriented front camera, and MagSafe charging are paramount, perhaps you can justify these hefty price increase.

As for the rest of the lineup, I hope to see some clarity in each model's purpose. I would like to see but don't expect:
  • iPad (11th generation): newer A-series processor, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3 for future proofing, bolder fun color choices. Previous 10th generation replaces the aging 9th generation at $329 price point.
  • iPad Air (6th generation): available in both 12.9- and 10.9-inch. Refreshed to M2, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3. 128GB base storage and ProMotion display, with landscape-oriented front camera.

Amazon has been selling the iPad Mini in the “pink” version at this price for a very long time. I finally bought one in November, but I had seen that price way back into the Summer.

I’m hoping Apple retains the Liquid Retina option that’s on lower price. Otherwise this would be bad move for Apple.

(Unless iPad Air gets a beefier update with M3 chip as well and landscape front camera and finally, CAMERA FLASH ON REAR CAMERA while retaining the Liquid Retina display, then iPad Pro update may be justified more. But price increase will sting especially for those that just also bought Vision Pro and looking to complement that)

Many iPad owners use their tablets for content consumption and nothing more. If you fall into that category, these discounts on the cheaper models might be a good deal for you. I agree new models will likely be released in Spring, but they will not be deeply discounted because.....well, they are new models. So, if you are just a garden variety tablet user, $349 for the iPad 10 is not a bad deal. You won't have much difficulty using it for 4-5 years; Mail, Safari, Photos, Streaming video, Notes, Calendar, Contacts, Books, etc... Even if it is dropped from iPadOS updates, you can still do most of the above for years to come.

That's $350/5years = $70year or $5.83 per month or one venti beverage at your local coffee shop.

why did Aple ditch the iPhone Minis when they offer this huge amount of various iPads at the same time? Some people here on MR say that the iPhone Minis didnt sell well….
Do iPads sell better?

The Air not having the flash is so odd, because the Mini has it.

We’re gearing up for new iPads for
Valentine’s Day, I hope.
A new iPad mini—please!
Ditto--really hoping for an update to the mini! It will be my first time buying one. I've wanted to this past year, but have been holding off for the hopes that V7 arrives this year.

ZERO chance you’ll get a 128 GB base storage on a non-Pro iPad. Not with bean counter Tim Cook at the helm.

You are probably right. But iPad Air sits in an awkward place because it starts with the same lowly 64GB as the 10th generation iPad.

Yeah, all of the iPads currently for sale are overdue for replacement. I don’t think that should necessarily deter someone from buying one at a good discount, but it’s definitely something someone interested in getting one should be aware of. Some of the improvements coming might be worth the few months you’ll have to wait. Also, if you’re thinking there won’t be any discounts available at first for these new models, I think some of them might get a Black Friday discount at stores like Target and Best Buy. Another thing, if the jelly scrolling on the iPad mini 6 annoys you for example when you’re testing it out at the Apple Store, with the next iPad mini (7), that won’t be an issue, at least not in portrait orientation.

Some good deals. But if planning to buy an iPad Pro then maybe it is better to wait and see what the new models will have.

Newer ones wont be any real game changer, or even better to a point that people would go "I NEED THIS!". They'll get a newer processor, MAYBE more ram, but they'll all still be fundamentally flawed product. So better to wait for new ones to arrive, then buy the old ones for cheap.

I dislike how the iPad Mini is more expensive than a regular iPad itself. It's such a great size comparatively for a day-to-day carry.
