Ambient Light Sensor

I searched, but if I missed something, please, no flames.

I click in the display preferences to not automatically dim my display, I'd prefer to do that myself. However, as soon as I change the brightness manually, the box rechecks itself. Same with the keyboard lights. I do not like using labtick. If i decide to turn it off, the keyboard lights annoyingly flicker.

I'd be okay with disabling the light sensor entirely. Its really just annoying to me.

Have you tried locking the 'lock' in the lower corner of the preference panel?
That should solve your problem

EDIT: My bad, there is no lock there..... hmmm strange.
Could always try reseting the SMC I guess..
