I have found recently over the years constant issues with lettuce,romaine, pork and beef.

You got 515,000 pounds of pork here

I am not sure of the reasons behind this, but many believe it is due to poor hygiene of the people working with the goods, such as undocumented workers in a plant or produce fields. I even read that in the produce fields, there isn't always a place for the workers to relieve themselves, so many times, they just do it in the field. That also means no where to wash their hands, too.

I am not sure about it being done deliberately, but I would bet on the poor hygiene being the cause.
