What do you think of American Idol?

A lot of people say its a cheap way to get famous...easy way.

I sometimes think they earn it. I mean they are thrown in front of Millions right away. There are not many who could do that. Famous in 3 months. Hard to handle.

I've been a fan of the show for a long time (5 seasons now), and am a fan of some of the people who have come out of the competition (mostly Carrie Underwood).

Easy way to get famous? Meh, you gotta take it for what its worth to you. To me its worth making a point to watch it every week, so I do.

i'm watching it right now, haha. the first couple weeks are best, all the horrible auditions, it's kind of sad sometimes though, some of these people are clearly not aware of what's going on.

I've been watching since Carrie's season. So far, Carrie is the best Idol.

I watch the first few episodes for the comedy of really bad untalented and bizarre auditions. After that it's just a parade of mediocrity I find very dull. I guess at the very end there may be some legitimate talent, but I've lost interest long before that.

i only really watch when it gets down to the final 4 to 6ish. Thats when you know they 'could' be IT and have actual talent.
