Hello !

I'm thinking about buying my futur mbp in the US, where it is way less expensive than where I live (Europe).

Do you know if there is any complication, using it in Europe ? With the current being on different frequency/voltage, is a standard outlet adaptator all I need, or should I buy a new adapter from Apple ?

Is there any incompatibility at all ?

Thanks for your help !

Everything works fine, even warranty and AppleCare. In fact, since you'll get only one year of warranty if you buy it there (as opposed to 2 if you buy it in Europe) make sure you get AppleCare and extend that to 3 years (valid in Europe as well). However, you need a small wall adapter for the charging brick (or to buy an EU charging brick in Europe). Even with all that, it's quite cheaper in the US so go for it! No real downsides.

Oh, and the keyboard has a slightly different layout in the US but I actally prefer it (larger left shift). No compatibility problems whatsoever.

Perfect then !

Applecare was part of the plan, and the travel kit seems to be what I need.

Thanks !
