Worlds biggest flower and what a name. I'm not so good at latin, but I think it translates to "very, very big penis shape"?! Wonder why it got that

Anyway, the one they have in Kew Gardens is blooming now and it's supposed to smell just awfull, so hurry, hurry...

EDIT: The flower is actually kinda pwetty, though. It's just the name that's disturbing. Sounds like something misguided scientists will eventually create in the dark future of anime, necessitating the saving of the world by a young high-school girl who wears short skirts and has bizarre supernatural powers and a talking cat.

Apparently, this plant when flowering smells of fecal matter and rotting human remains. If you ever had to carry away flesh rotting in the hot midday sun, the smell is unbearable. This is what this plant smells like.

Well with such a stench, the camera allows people to see it as nobody actually wants to go see the flower in person.

I went to see the one that bloomed at the Huntington a few years back (first to bloom in California), and it was beyond rotting flesh. One lady almost puked.
