Hi all,

there is only a tenuous link to macs in this question, but hoping someone can help as I have been let down in other forums. the setup is linked to ipods and macs so hopefully that will get me by!

I have a much loved iTube Carbon amp, and would like some new speakers - I love the look of the KEF IQ5's. Will they work together, and if not, is there any way round it? All advice greatfully received!! Specs below:

KEFs:

Sensitivity (Db) 88
Impedance (Ohms) 8
Bi-Wireable Yes
Power Rating (Watts) 130w

iTube:

Power Output: 25Wx2
Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20KHz (±1.5Db)
Harmonic Distortion: ≤0.5%
Signal-To-Noise Ratio: ≥86Db
Input Impedance: 100KΩ
Output Impedance: 4Ω, 8Ω

Aside from being on the lower-end power wise, they should work just fine. The impedance seems fine, as the amp can handle 4 ohms, and the speakers are 8.

Thanks for getting back on this, new I could rely on this forum for answers!! Excellent, will get on and order them ready for Christmas. The room they'll go in isn't enormous, and don't have huge parties so power isn't that much of an issue.

Thanks again!
