amplify audio of voice memo.

I created a voice memo, which was actually a recording of a lecture.
It turns out that i couldnt play the voice memo, the status bar just shows 0:00 for the length of the voice memo.

i used an application called iphone explorer and manged to get hold of the .mov file and the lecture is all there on my pc.

only thing now is that the audio is fairly quiet.

can anyone recommend how best to amplify the sound on this audio?
