I was just wondering if anybody here works on airplanes or helicopters. I decided that I am going to be changing careers and was accepted into an AMT program starting in 2014. I am taking a few months off and going back to school, I already have a BA in English and was wondering what kind of classes would be beneficial for somebody entering the AMT field. Right now I am registered in a bunch of science related classes for the Fall 2013 semester at a local community college, Astronomy, Engineering-101, MTH-125 plane trigonometry and Geology 101. I think I am going to take math classes until I get completely fed up with them, can't hurt right? I guess I just need something to pass the time and still learn something semi related to the field. I think I am going to be taking some tool and die and electronics classes in the spring as well. I have spoken to a few advisors and have not gotten any good information about the steps to take after I pass the FAA airframe and powerplant certification tests. So, if anybody has any insight or wants to let me in on classes that would give me a leg up on the next certifications please let me know. Also, if anybody has some good suggestions on buying tools, please feel free to chime in.

Thanks!
