I use the open source Amua app as my last.fm player as it offers a non-bloated way to enjoy my favourite social music site. As you may know, you can mark songs as "loved" or "banned" when listening to last.fm, which helps generate recommendations for you. I'd like to be able to do this using a keyboard shortcut/hotkey so that I can rate my songs non-intrusively. I've tried setting up a trigger in Quicksilver but I simply cannot get it to work. Keyboard Shortcuts in OS X System Pref pane only works when I have the Amua app active (I want to be able to just hit CMD + SHIFT + plus/minus for love/hate, respectively with any app active).

Any thoughts on how to do this?
