Hi all,

I've written a great (in my opinion) app for math geeks out there, called Gauge Mathematical Tool.

Here's what you can do with it:

-Dynamically approximate Pi to 10 million decimal places. You can also search through the results for certain strings of digits or by a digit's rank (position) in the decimal.

-Prime number generator

-Mandelbrot fractal "exploration." For those that aren't aware, this is an infinitely complex mathematical structure, and yet its aesthetic simplicity could be described as beautiful in many places.

-Benchmark your device's performance. Besides the math features, there is a device benchmark that you can use to compare multiple models of iPhones and iPod touches. You can also browse submitted results here: http://www.cocoslive.net/game-scores?gamename=Gauge Mathematical Tool

For math geeks out there, there aren't many things cooler than showing your friends that you carry 5 or 10 million digits of Pi in your pocket, and as it is also dynamically calculated, this isn't just some static list of digits. If you choose, watch your device chew through the numbers. It really shows off the power of your iPhone or iPod touch.

You can read more at my website, www.thomashuntington.com if you're interested, or there's a link in my sig to GMT's app store page.

Sorry about the shameless self-promotion:)
