An app to work with Quickbooks data file

As quickbooks already have an app for working with iPad and iPhone, I wonder if anyone else has plans to do the same. The problem with the quickbooks one is it requires their most up to date software version on desktop coupled with a monthly subscription which doesn't suit a small business like mine. Wouldn't mind a once off payment for an app that would look up invoices, statements, sales charts etc from the quickbooks data file
