I suggested this to Apple this morning through their feedback page, and I was wondering what other people thought of the idea.
Apple should allow automatic sync'ing of iTunes libraries and playlists through Time Capsules. Users should have the option to select a partition size of a Time Capsule to devote to iTunes sync'ing (anywhere from 10 to 100 GB).
All authorized computers would then sync the iTunes libraries and playlists through the Time Capsule's iTunes partition, even if the computer has Time Machine turned off. Sync'ing could be automatic, every so often (hourly, daily, etc.), or manually, just like the current options for iDisks.
This would eliminate the need for a remote server, which would require a lot of bandwidth (and time considering how limited the iDisk bandwidth is).
What do you guys think? Feasible or not? If you like the idea, then feel free to suggest it to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback
