Greetings,

I have come across this question many times; I just wonder what other people's opinions are.

Personally, I think the 3.5 inch screen size on all 4 generations of iPhone is just fine for me, though I would not mind having a larger screen size of 3.7 or even 4 inch on my iPhone 4.

Consider these factors: battery life, RAM usage, perfomance, pixel value, design of the phone and size of the phone.

Cheerio,

I'm happy with the 3.5 inch display..but after seeing a ton of Android devices be 4.0+, I think I would love a bigger screen. I think a 4 inch display would be perfect.

4.3 inch screen

^^ This.

A few months ago, my max was really at 4 inches. Then I played with the Droid X and realized it isn't as big compared to how I thought about it last year. If I come from an iPhone with just 3.5 inches, alot of other phones will start to look too BIG because I am used to the size of the iPhone 4. But considering that Android is heading to 4.5+ inch screens, I think just a 4-inch screen is still playing catch up. Go 4.3.

The future of screen size is going up, not down. Bigger screens can also mean bigger hardware, make it roomier, and ability to pack more battery. I want the Galaxy Note because it would stop me from buying and lugging around a tablet and have a tablet + smartphone all in ONE data plan. A tablet without 3G really will end up another giant iPod touch if I am in a bus or train. Once I get used to that behemoth size of the Note, I would start looking at my iPhone 4 as a smartphone-mini. All a matter of getting used to.

DREAM BIGGER.

People say it can't be over 3.8in because then it wouldn't be retina display. But if you think about it, the larger the screen the further you would hold it away from your face and therefore the harder it is to distinguish pixels anyway.

Wow I never looked at it that way! :p
