Hi all

Well I surprised myself today & managed to restart my imac & reinstall OX (If you knew me you would be impressed!)

I was led to believe that I could just open time machine & go to the last back up & everything would go back to how my imac was??

Clearly this is not the case, can anyone give me an idiots guide to how to get it back. I have lost all my emails via entourage & more annoyingly my email address as well

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks in advance

When you were going through the setup you can use Migration Assistant to restore your data from Time Machine.

You can use Migration Assistant again or just restore your home directory.

The migration assistant should have come up at the initial boot after the reinstall. It still can be found under Applications>Utilities>Migration Assistant.

From there follow the prompts... you should be able to to get everything back to normal from there.

Thanks very much.......looks easy I'm just trying to do it!!

If you hear swearing don't be surprised!
