I'm looking for an app for my MacBook that will act as an alarm but not just wake me up, but keep me awake too.
I struggle to get up in mornings as I imagine most do, but for me it's becoming a severe issue. While a bucket of cold water might do the trick, I usually find if something considerable has happened, it's likely to keep me awake and is a bit less drastic than a bucket of water.
So I'm looking for an alarm clock that when activated runs a series of checks against say; news websites (to check for any / all new postings or updates since alarm was set), stock exchange (any changes to particular listings/stock exchanges since alarm was set), forums or other user-defined websites so that when the user is woken, while turning the alarm off on their MacBook / iMac, they're instantly being alerted to updates of news across the world as well as updates on their favourite forum or blog.
A specific ask; I know. If there's nothing out there like it perhaps someone could recommend a guide that could teach me how to create basic scripts to do the aforementioned?
Many thanks!
