I agree with the article. Old wisdom was to buy more memory. But moving my MP (2008) from 16GB to 32GB did not get me much benefit for the added cost and heat signature.

Now drive space is another issue. Something for a different thread. :D

I liked the idea of 32gb ram but I realistically wouldn't use it that much. My main bottleneck in my 2016 MBP is the processor/gfx. Driving 2 full 4k screen, the internal screen and doing dev work is a little too much to ask from such a portable and light machine. It handles it well most of the time but I've had to turn off some GFX related stuff and it still struggles at times. The new 15" MBPs will be monsters even without the 32gb RAM.
