An interesting thing I just noticed...

One thing i have always liked is how apple are very thorough when it come to design.

What i mean is everything has been designed from the bottom to the top... including their packaging.

This brings me to my point, i just noticed that the new Macbook Pro packaging is white....

For ages ALL pro packaging has been black.

I wonder why they decided to switch?

Someone here posted link to the benchmarks of both old and new MBP. The new one didn't outperform previous generation one in any category but gaming.

I think black is still the color for pro, Apple just doesn't do it anymore.

Are the MB and MBP box sizes the same? Might save them money if they all have the same box just with different print on them.

nope, they have been making a big deal about how little packageing they need for their new machines, im sure they wonldnt waste any space on the macbook package just to make it the same size as the pro

My wifes black macbook was in a white box whereas my friends white macbook was in a black box. My black 3G iPhone was in a white box and my wife's 3G was in a black box (I think I might have that one reversed). It seems to be a trend that if they add black the box turns white.

I read somewhere it might be an environmental issue because it obviously takes more ink to print black paper products.
