If you mean something with a cool story, collecting cards and similar features I think you could try Chaos Ring (and Chaos Ring II) or maybe Dungeon Hunter...
Also assassin's creed is the best between card games

They don't have the same cartoon graphic as pokemon, but they are pretty cool, especially the story, which is catchy, and the graphic!

iTazer is similar to pokemon app....

Number of apps available for iPhone, iPad and iPod which are better than Pokemon. My favorite apps are Temple Run, The dark Knight Rises and iTazer.
