An unexpected error occurred while downloading the voice control language

Hi,

I'm on an intel 27" iMac 2020.
I just upgraded to Ventura and I get this error when starting voice control under accessibility.

"An unexpected error occurred while downloading the voice control language English (United States). Try again later."

I have internet connection and no VPNs and firewalls.
My download directory is on an external drive.

Anyone know what might be causing this error?

Turn off Voice Control, close System Settings, download and install the packages you need, open System Settings – Accessibility - Voice Control select the installed languages then turn on Voice Control.

Hi @bogdanw thank you for this excellent suggestion, however this is what happens:

Voice control is disabled.
1- I downloaded this (it was about 600M download):
2-I installed and it took about 1.2G
3-I enabled voice control and I got the same error as in my original post.
4-So I rebooted my Mac and enabled voice control, I didn't get the error, I got a small rectangle with 3 circles an each circle getting larger and smaller. (It's kind of like the beach ball but for voice control, I'll call it the golf balls :).
5-After about 10 seconds of the "golf balls" I get the same error :(

Voice control now gets disabled. I tried unselecting US English and reselecting it but no difference.
I tried downloading UK English. But I still get the same error.

Any more ideas?

Try to install SpeechRecognitionCoreLanguagePremium_en_US.pkg as well

Thanks, tried it, same result, immediate error on install, and after reboot I get the golf balls and the error.
Just as an fyi, when I click on add languages -> select language -> English (United States) a note appears on the lower side of the dialog box that says "Selected download size: 390MB"

The files you have suggested above seem to be a lot bigger?

English is already primary. Are you suggesting English UK and then switch back to English US?
Also, are these known ways of solving the problem I've posted?
