I live over 200 miles away from the nearest apple store. Should I have not ordered from apple.com? I ordered from apple.com so I could get applecare+ (which didn't even happen). If something did happen to my phone I'm assuming I would have to go into an apple store? Or could I take it to any Verizon store?

Also there is an apple hub in my local Best Buy where they just sell some apple products.. Not sure if that counts as an apple store.. doubt it.

You can get Applecare for you iPhone no matter where you end up buying it from...

The poster is talking about AppleCar+ NOT AppleCare.:apple:

You can ONLY buy AppleCare + at the time of purchase;)

Not true! How long do you have to return you iPhone for a refund?
14 days!

How long do you have to return your defective iPhone for a new iPhone?
30 days!

You have at least 14 days to get AppleCare +!

Sorry, my bad...

In terms of Applecare+, they do have a mail-in option wherein you can mail in your device....

Its not the case, from Apple's website:

"How to get AppleCare+
AppleCare+ must be purchased together with your new iPhone. To buy it, add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when you purchase your new iPhone."

anytime

I think you can add the applecare at any time before the apple warranty is up, it's the AT&T damage/theft insurance at 9.99$ a month that must be added in the first 30 days.

Do you seriously not understand that you can return your iPhone within 14 days and repurchase it if needed with the AppleCare +????

How is returning and buying again the same as the statement you made below???

You don't have to purchase applecare at time of purchase, you have at least 14 days to purchase it online.

Here's a thought, you can return your iPhone every 12 days and get a new one, that way you never need to get Applecare... sounds ridiculous.... right?

Yeah you could do that if you're stupid!
