Hi all I was wondering if there was any way of conecting a analog camera to my mac cheaply. I would like to use my imac g3 for surveillance of my property.

Sounds to me like you may want to look into USB Video Capture devices such as those made by Hauppage or Pinnacle systems. That will be the cheapest route.
