Setting up a new MacBook for a friend and performed a clean install instead. Now organizing contacts and calendars bet Gmail and her new iCloud accounts.
This has been a point of contention as google and OS X app's don't play well together. Address Book can handle many accounts, the trick is to make certain every contact from each account is identical. Each contact displays the account it is in, clicking on Gmail or iCloud link displays the information for the same contact in both side by side.
Compare the data for each to ensure they're identical is a time consuming, manual task. Merging/Linking contacts doesn't work as the contacts are not individually changed, just "linked". Thus online Google and iCloud will have the exact yet separate contact data.
Is there a application that facilitates this process working with multiple accounts in OS X Contacts? My eyes hurt. I will be forever in your service.
