I know that there are cases that lock the smart cover onto the ipad. I was wondering if there were any solutions to lock the ultrathin keyboard onto the iPad.

Not really, it's why the keyboard is a very first generationish product. It certainly works, but is far from perfect.
The thin one is a third gen product. First was from Zagg, then Logitech/Zagg and now this incarnation.
could the magnets be a little stronger? Yes otherwise its a nice product. i like being able to easily take it off and use the smart cover when i dont feel like lugging the keyboard around.
