I like the Ultra but am a Garmin user myself. Definitely intrigued by the new features however all except for the cellular service and the siren have been on the Fenix/epix 2 for a long time now. Does anyone possibly know how long the battery will last in GPS + Music mode? I love the flashlight option on the fenix 7x but surely the Ultras 2K nit display could light up like the flashlight right? At this point I find it hard to justify switching from garmin to apple however if they can get more battery life and a better app set up then I may be in. Seems like the YouTubers are all over the Ultra which could provide some apple bias on the algorithms. Thoughts?

PS- I applaud anyone who is encouraged to workout due to new devices etc go get em!

I've been using an Epix 2 and I'm switching back to the Ultra. I still owned a Series 7, but hadn't used it since I purchased the Epix 2. I like it a lot, but think the Ultra is a better option now.

The Screen on the Ultra can be used as a flashlight, and with the brighter screen it should work pretty well. I liked a lot about the Epix, but knew if Apple came out with a watch that was rugged and a bit larger I would switch back due to how awesome the integration is with iOS.

I do 100 mile road bike events. My Apple Watch is helpful, but I never cared for the screen. Too hard to press functions while riding at 20-22mph. Plus, dark screen during the daytime. I ordered the Ultra for the larger/brighter screen, louder speaker (calls, etc), and ease of use.
