We'll start seeing a rash of new threads under the following categories.

How/where do I get iOS.
How/where do I register UDID
Can someone register my UDID
How do I rollback the beta, since its unstable (shocking a beta being buggy) and I need my phone
I bricked my phone trying to roll it back to iOS 4, HELP

How do you pirate a copy of iOS? don't all iDevices have a license to run iOS?

They have a license to run the copy they come with and subsequent copies Apple release to them. The do not have a license to run the developer previews that are licensed for registered, paid-up developers only.

looks like im in the right place then :)
How do i get ios 5 on my jailbroken iphone....thanks : )

So do you have a solution to this "problem"? Answering the questions might help, instead of just complaining...

I'm just making an observation that's all. In fact I see some of those threads as we speak. ;)

That sounds like a very gray area to me.

People are taking copywriting material from one website which requires secured access and re-hosting it elsewhere for free. I don't see how this is a grey area. People try and justify their copyright infringement by claiming that iOS is free when it's released so it's OK to try and bypass the copyright holders rules for the beta but it's clear that this is not the case.

The Developer Program does not require you to personally own all 99 devices registered. Furthermore, the point of releasing to Developers is not to 'protect' copyrights, but to protect consumers and the image of Apple. People that are not familiar with the development environment should not be messing around with beta versions of software. That's asking for trouble. The last thing Apple wants is a million excited consumers running bugged software.

Instant bans for anyone asking for a UDID registration, selling UDID registrations or asking for help with pirated copies of iOS?

I've already seen some threads in Wasteland that had these. If you see posts containing this, you should report it. I have reported at least one.
