I'm surprised at how well the rest of the traffic is driving. That is pretty dangerous of the bike though :eek: - the worst I've personally seen is a Vietnamese motorbike carrying a 2-3m high metal pole that went higher than the electric cables along the side of the road.

I should explain it a little more. The problem in Vietnam is that the taxes on cars are very high as if everyone had a car the roads wouldn't function. It leads to the extreme position where seemingly everyone who owns a car seems to have a brand new Mercedes/4x4.

Basically if you want to move large metal poles for some reason you don't have much choice unless you are rich ;).
 
Everything like this seems impressive until the accident and the bloody mess on the highway. Then it becomes idiotic and reckless (although it was always this).
